1. Before we start talking about your book, why don’t you tell everybody a little bit about yourself?
GLH: I’m never without a book in my hand until I started writing several years ago. And now I must make time for reading, really miss those days.
I now live in Qatar, with my hubby and two kids. I left the wonderfully warm tropical climate of South Africa nine years ago when my hubby’s job took us overseas. It’s been quite an experience and I love the travels. It helps enormously with my writing.
2. Besides writing, what other things do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
GLH: I read, watch movies or catch up with missed TV shows. Our weekend’s start on a Friday which is the day I veg out and spend time with my family.
3. What is your daily routine as far as when you have an idea for your story?
GLH: When an idea for a story takes hold, I just pound away on my laptop to get my draft done. During this time I rarely deviate from my routine: after hubs and son have left for work and school, I get started with my work. I do a quick revision of what I've done the day before and dive back into writing my draft. I break for a few hours at noon, lunch with my family, then I write again in the evening.
4. Where do you get your ideas from?
GLH: From listening to a piece of music, watching movies, reading, people watching, so yeah, anything can get the ideas rolling.
5. Out of all of the stories you’ve written so far, what would be your favorite and why?
GLH: They are all close to my heart, hmmn, Aethan (Absolute Surrender) for the tragedy that haunts him, Reynner (Darkness Undone) for a brutal past that shapes his present. So hard…each have a special place in me, like my kids do J
6. Tell us something funny about yourself that not a lot of people know about?
GLH: I guess everyone will know after this, I don’t share jellybeans. My teens think it’s cute J
7. Does any of the stories you’ve written based on real life experiences or basically just from imagination?
GLH: Some moments are. It’s hard not to draw on your own experience. Its what you understand best. I think some of it’s reflected in my hero, and from my life experiences, not that I lived on the streets, but it correlates closely to my heroine’s life. However, its not all pain, doom and gloom, the lighter moments are from now having my wonderful family and the funny things they do.
8. Does your ‘muse’ have a name and if so what is his/her name?
GLH: Yes. Dammit! Followed by, “Where the hell are you?”
9. What other genre besides the one you are writing about now would you like to venture into writing?
GLH: Actually, I’m in the process of plotting out a YA. Futuristic/Something. After plotting, I’ll know what it is. Quite excited about that one.
10. Who are your favorite authors that are out now?
GLH: Nalini Singh, JR Ward and Shelly Laurenston to name a few.
11. Who is your favorite female and male characters from your books and why?
GLH: It’s like asking me to choose between my kids. I love them all, they’re all close to my heart.
12. What do you think is the hardest thing about being a writer?
GLH: To waste time sleeping when I could be writing, because I need to recharge my brains. J
13. What advice would you give someone who wants to start off being a writer?
GLH: Write what moves you, write from the heart, hell, and break rules if you have to. Then find a supportive critique group and join them. The help and experience with such groups are amazing, one learns a lot. Then write, rewrite several times over if you have to.
14. If you hadn’t become a writer, what do you think you would be doing right now?
GLH: Reading and playing games on Facebook. J
15. What would be the perfect Romantic getaway?
GLH: The Maldives. Me, hubs and miles of white sands and gorgeous blue waters.
Well now that we got the question and answer out of the way…..why don’t you tell us about your latest story you have out now?

Excerpt: first meeting between H/h
She didn’t care how sexy that lightly accented voice of his was. If he thought for a second she was going to tell him how she saw demoniis, or killed the fiends, he was doomed for disappointment. People already thought her strange. And for some insane reason she didn’t want him to think so, too. Didn’t matter she’d never see him again.
“I don’t think so.” She stepped around him, bypassed a stone bench, and was sheathing her dagger when he grasped her denim-clad arm. His touch sent a jolt to her system, like a sharp tingle. It unsettled her.
“That wasn’t a request.”
“I don’t care. You want to unhand me?”
His gray eyes skimmed over her face, ignoring her demands. “It must be a mortal trait, to delve into things best left alone.”
“Mortal trait?” Indignation surging through her, she shoved away from him and knocked into something hard. Too late she recalled the bench. Only her agile reflexes kept her from tipping over and landing on her backside. And the fact he grabbed her arm. She yanked free and drew in a steadying breath, only to breathe in his wild, cool scent again.
Her eyes rushed to his. He was too close. She couldn’t move, not unless she wanted to crawl up him. Tempting as that was, it wasn’t a good idea. Not when her hormones were shooting down her common sense and waving a white flag in surrender. In a move born out of pure self-preservation, she leaped onto the stone bench to put some distance between them.
“And you have a temper to match.”
Her fist clenched. That’s it! She took a swing.
Tell us about your next book that will be coming out and when it will be out.
My next book out will be another paranormal romance: Darkness Undone. It has an even darker hero with ties to the hero of Absolute Surrender J
