WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN 2013
WHAT I PLAN ON DOING TO MAKE 2014 A LITTLE BIT BETTER
JAMALLAH BERGMAN AGE 40
I honestly have to say that this is a FIRST for me…..
Writing out a resolution of sorts you can say for the New Year.
But with this open letter, I don’t plan on making one because lord knows I more than likely won’t keep it.
So let’s begin shall we…..
I’ve learned that not all things are what they seem….that sometimes when it seem too good to be true that really and honestly they are too good to be true.
I’ve learned that you can’t please EVERYBODY ON THE PLANET….being a writer and it’s made me a bit tougher than I normally am. Honestly people I can’t stress this enough…being a writer is a 24/7 job of the mind….which is completely exhausting especially when you have so many other things on your mind along with trying to come up with a new storyline.
To my fellow writers I say to you….DON’T STRESS YOURSELF OUT….when writing, write with feeling and caring and from the heart. Write what you like, what you want to write about. Sure a handful will raise a ruckus because they either didn’t like the storyline or didn’t like the characters or just want to rant and make the author feel bad. You can’t please everybody on the planet with your work…..but honestly there will be plenty who enjoy what you write about.
I’ve learned that love and friendship shouldn’t be mixed. Love and friendship should be separate and not thought of as either or the other. True our hearts are always wanting that someone special to step up to the plate and make their intentions known to you. But just because someone says some nice things towards you, doesn’t mean that they it’s going to end up into something more. I’ve learned that over the years and even though I’ve said to myself that I wouldn’t let it happen to me again, I ended up letting it do so one time and it ended up once again…..messing up a friendship.
I’ve learned that friendship is GOLDEN and I have to say that I have some of the best friends around. I honestly don’t know where I would be and what I would do if I didn’t have my friends backing me up. Plus the fact that this year I’ve made some really great friends through going to conventions as well as getting invites from people who have read my work. I’ve always taken time to talk with those that message me about my books because honestly I love hearing from those that enjoy my work. I know sometimes we are busy with things and stuff but there is nothing better than taking the time to sit back and talk with a fan and with that I appreciate them oh so much.
SO…..WHAT’S MY PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR?
My plans are the following:
* Bringing out more interesting and enticing stories for my readers for the New Year
* Let love find me for a change and stop trying to look for it no matter what temptations might come my way
* Bring out some new projects for my fans
* Try and do something that I’ve never done before in my life
* Make new friends
* Meet new authors
*Enjoy my life the best I can
Yup….I thinks that about sum it up for yours truly.
I just want to say to my fans, friends (old and new) that without any of you in my life. I don’t know where I would be. A lot of people thought that I would never come this far. They always thought that I wouldn’t be able to accomplish my dreams by either telling or making me think that I wasn’t worth a thing and sometimes I would think just that. But of course through the years of dealing with medical issues as well as dealing with my issues of my appearance, which I honestly at one time didn’t want to be seen because I didn’t know what people would think of how I looked then compared to how I use to look in the past. With some really great friends having my back throughout the years, I don’t know what I would do without them.
So my wish for all of you out there is to remember 2013 and make sure that 2014 is YOUR YEAR!
I know I plan on making it mine for sure!
